Here we have a (slightly incomplete) list of all the folks who either helped set up the original lists, or sent in updates and corrections when discovered. Because of this crew, the episode guide became perfect, and the music listing 99% complete.

Salute them, either for being dedicated, or obsessed, or quite possibly both. They’ve posted to the rec.arts.tv newsgroups, written Vice fanfic, and had a blast doing it. Our collective passion has helped bring this to you.

And Now, The Usual Suspects…

First, a very special thanks goes out to Mark Jackson, a UK-based Miami Vice fan in the biggest sense, and a friend. It was the surprise discovery of his Miami Vice website built from the lists myself and some of the listed usual suspects had posted to rec.arts.tv back in the late 80s that spurred me to create my own Miami Vice website.

He was also gracious enough to share the MV images he’d already had until I managed to get my site up to speed by scanning in all the items I’d collected over the years. Mark’s website was at harley.pcl.ox.ac.uk for a number of years, and when he shut it down, that made the Miami Vice Chronicles the oldest Miami Vice website still running.

Next, the first one who told me to “go for it” and encourage the creation of the music list, and whose persistence helped bring the episode list to perfection, Deb Brown…

Then the first one to call me crazy for even thinking about creating the music list, and who also helped get the episode list perfect, Dave Shaffer…

The man, the myth, the legend with all the tapes, The Tominatr, Tom Norwood…

InigoJones: the mythic yet detail-oriented purveyor of end credits corrections…

music enthusiast Mark Veglia…

music enthusiast Lisa Gauvin…

music enthusiast Robert LaPorte…

episode credits cleanup specialist Thomas Miller…

episode credits cleanup specialist Tomas Naslund…

and yours truly, the original creator of the Miami Vice music lists.

A special thanks goes out to Galaxy Maps for their permission to use the beautiful panoramic views of Miami and Miami Beach that adorned the previous edition of the site, and can still be seen on this site…

and another special thanks to Rich “TooXtreme” for reworking the banner headers on the previous edition of the site… one of them is the forums.miamivicechronicles.com banner now.
