“Miami Vice” airing on Centric

“Miami Vice” is currently airing in the US on Centric, a 24-hr entertainment channel created by Viacom as a partnership between BET and MTV Networks. The programming is targeted towards African-American viewers in the 25-54 demographic, set up to complement BET’s viewership demographic (typically 18-24) and to compete with TV One.

Centric is part of Viacom’s MTV Networks, and was fully launched in October 2009. Centric can be found on DirecTV Channel 330, and should also be on most major cable systems.

One word of caution: the episode listings on Centric’s website are most likely inaccurate. Their website says that the 4am Jan 1st episode was “Bought and Paid For”, but what’s actually on the air right now is “Back in the World”.

Centric has not shown every episode in order & has skipped around with the seasons,so it’s hard to keep up previously Miami Vice was shown on the Sleuth network. Centric is not carried on a whole lot of cable outlets right now either.

  2. Nice, didn’t think I’d see it syndicated again. Centric is on DirecTV, Dish, and Comcast at least in my area (Rky Mts. US). Website will tell you which channel on each provider.

  3. Any idea why Centric pulled Miami Vice? I’m devastated!!!

    • Vice is still airing on Centric… I just checked!

The schedule on DirecTV shows episodes airing through at least March 5th. Where did you read that Centric had already pulled the show?

  4. No, Miami Vice has not been pulled, I am watching it right now. :)

  6. Did Centric show “A Rock and Hard Place” – Season 4 Episode 11 last week (April 25)? If they did I must have missed it…I wanted to
    record it on the DVR…thanks

  7. Centric has been playing the previous episode from the day before , followed by a new episode at 8AM East Coast. Waiting 4 season 5. Some of the best moments can be found on You Tube( I’m sure you all know). When Stan finds Zito in the back of the boxing gym,.. w/ Steve Windwood playing ,.. one of the best television or movie moments ever,..

it was a sad day when miami vice went off the air in 1989, although it had seen it’s better days and had a good run I still miss programs of this caliber and wish for the good old days again when better programming meant something worth watching.

  9. sean beaver says:

it’s still showing on centric but only once a day mon- fri east coast.

The new miami vice that was ‘aired’ whth new characters is not even remotely near the quality nor the caliber of the old miami vice and does not hold a candle to the original program either. by far I don’t think they will ever come up with characters or the theme that the old program had much less the quality. hurray for the original cast and thank God for reruns.

  11. Why does centric show same shows over and over and why isn’t MV on netflix? Thx
